UK PROTECTION & PATROL DOG ALLIANCE

I was invited by John Davidson and Damien O’Donnell to judge the control section for their level one completion.
The trial was held at “Heath Extreme” training ground at Ryhill nr wakefield.

This control round was a bit different from obedience and working trials rounds.

The heelwork was on and off lead with distractions i.e. tennis balls, dumbbells, bite rolls and sleeves spread along side of the heelwork pattern, we also had a guy in a bite jacket walking slowly around the course whilst the dogs were working.

There was a double retrieve i.e. a leather glove and a metal dumbbell which the steward threw.

We then had the obedience test with recall.

The agility course was the 3ft hurdle, 7ft long jump, A frame, tunnel and a car.
The dogs were sent to jump onto the bonnet, then onto the roof and told to go down and stay for 1 minute then called off to sit in front of their handlers.
